Local Recovery Ambassadors

Mairi lives in Fife and is an academic General Practitioner having started working as a full-time general practitioner in inner city Glasgow.

Mairi has worked with the Scottish government and NHS Scotland on multiple projects, most notably the development of ‘GPs with Special Interests’ (GPwSI) in Scotland. Her expertise in general practice has allowed her opportunities to reinforce the importance of having strong primary care services within the NHS.  Her research has been credited with the developing of primary care services in healthcare systems around the world.
